New Delhi: The 24th India International Seafood Exhibition (IISS-2025), Asia’s leading seafood trade fair, begins in New Delhi on September 25, 2025. The exhibition, taking place at Hall No. 6 of Pragati Maidan, will feature 260 stalls and also have space for technical sessions. The mega show, which will run from September 25 to 28, will be organised by the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI). A large number of industry professionals, businessmen, and experts will participate, offering opportunities to meet and hear from several prominent figures in the seafood industry.
SEAI President Mr Pawan Kumar said that IISS showcases the huge strides that the Indian seafood export sector has made over the years. The event this year assumes special significance for us as we are also celebrating the golden jubilee of the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI). We are confident that this event will help our efforts to diversify our markets and improve our position in existing markets.
During the IISS-2025, there will be detailed discussions on the opportunities, challenges and solutions in the field of aquaculture and the seafood export industry in India. Several important issues, including the skill development of individuals involved in seafood production and sustainability initiatives in this sector, will be discussed here. Meanwhile, a reverse buyer-seller meet will be held, hosted by the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA). The event will also include industry-related lectures, roundtables, technical sessions, and discussions.
SEAI Secretary General Dr K.N. Raghavan said, “IISS offers the perfect springboard for all stakeholders in the Indian seafood export value chain to expand the scope of their operations. The motto of this edition ‘sustainably harvested, humanely sourced’ underlines the commitment of members of SEAI towards following sustainable practices in all parts of the supply chain.
