New Delhi: The 24th edition of the India International Seafood Show 2025 (IISS-2025) will kick off on September 25, 2025, at Pragati Maidan, Hall No. 6, New Delhi. Recognized as Asia’s leading seafood trade fair, the event will feature 260 stalls along with dedicated technical sessions. Scheduled to run till September 28, the mega event is being organized by the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI), drawing a large gathering of industry professionals, business leaders, and domain experts. Attendees will also get the opportunity to network with key global players in the seafood business.
SEAI President Pawan Kumar stated, “IISS reflects the tremendous progress made by India’s seafood export sector in recent years. This year’s edition holds special significance as SEAI marks its Golden Jubilee. We are confident the event will help diversify our markets while strengthening our presence in existing ones.”
The four-day show will host in-depth discussions on opportunities, challenges, and solutions in India’s aquaculture and seafood export industry. Key issues like skill development and sustainability in seafood production will be addressed. In parallel, the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) will organize a Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet, alongside lectures, roundtable meetings, technical sessions, and expert deliberations.
SEAI Secretary General Dr. K.N. Raghavan remarked, “IISS serves as an ideal platform for stakeholders across the Indian seafood export value chain to scale up their operations. The theme — ‘Sustainably Produced, Humanely Harvested’ — highlights our members’ commitment to embedding sustainability across the supply chain. We look forward to strengthening India’s global leadership in the seafood trade.”
Held biennially, IISS has grown into one of Asia’s largest seafood exhibitions and is widely regarded as a must-attend event for the global industry. It connects all segments of the seafood value chain — processors, producers, machinery manufacturers, technology providers, service operators, importers, exporters, farmers, and fishers — while opening avenues for SMEs to engage with innovators and thought leaders in the sector. Today, IISS is recognized as a key platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies, innovative products, and futuristic ideas to the world.
Founded in 1973, SEAI celebrates its 52nd year this year. On September 25, a Golden Jubilee ceremony will also be held in New Delhi, with dignitaries including Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, Minister of State for Fisheries George Kurian, Minister of State for New & Renewable Energy Shripad Naik, and Minister of State for Steel Bhupathi Raju Srinivas Varma in attendance.
